the timing marks on a 9000 without distributor aka T5, are somewhat unused UNTIL you do a head job. Then things like TDC become important and the flywheel is one way to get that.
I'm guess here, but since the 9000 engine is mounted sideways, and the angle is different, that the timing marks were moved towards the relative front of the car for easier access. Again, just a guess. If you move the marks on the flywheel and the index on the block the same amount... you are good to go.
This would make them incompatible with the c900 where the marks are read from the, basically, intake side of the flywheel. on the 9000 you are on the exhaust side. So, the flywheel would need to be marked accordingly to undo that offset I mentioned above. If you have a timeing light that does increment/decrement then all you would need is TDC, the light will take care of the 16 degree BTDC as you just want to line the Zero mark, having the degree ruler is needed for timing lights that can't do the offset in the flash timing...
