Any reputable brand should give you all you need in the way of mounting parts. You will not need a spring compressor. You may need a jack to raise the A arm slightly to take stress off the shock, can't recall for sure.
Its been a while since I replaced front shocks on a C900, but I recall the nuts on the upper mounts to be hard to reach. For removal, suggest you jack the car up, remove the wheel and score or partially cut the chromed damper rod with a hack saw blade, remove the lower mount nut, pull the shock body off the lower mount and pull/push the shock back and forth rotating it as you go until the damper rod snaps at your cut. Then pull the damper rod out through the top mount hole. Its not a particularly strong piece of metal as it is not designed to take sideways loads. This should save a lot of time, which will allow you to focus on the install portion.
Also, replace your sway bar ends, or at least lube them with a lot of silicone spray (not WD40).
