seeing how this thread went unanswered for this long, ill apply something.
the return line is not to the intake manifold it runs to the head,
when u get to the pick and pull and find a post 88 year turbo car there is a fitting (some sort of metal pipe) for the intake line that bolts into the lower part of the turbo unit. the pipe fitting is only about 7 inches long, this is where the lower rubber rad. hose hooks up to (with a hose clamp)
there are 2 more metal pipe fittings, one that bolts into the top of the turbo unit and another that bolts into the head, and a two foot rubber rad. hose fills the gap between the two.
when you see the turbo motor and the way the piping runs its as simple as 1,2,3.. when swapping the turbo units and after everything's installed let the car idle for 5 minutes to make sure oil and radiator fluid has had a chance to circulate through out the plumbing.
