It is not in line but rather a third safeguard, so the fact that you have pressure does not guarantee that the frost switch will shunt 12v to the compressor clutch. If it thinks the evaporator is frozen solid, it will not shunt 12v to the clutch. It could also be a clogged capillary tube. GENTLY pull it out of the evaporator and suck on it. You need to remove the underdash and the heater duct. The frost switch lives on the outboard side of the evaporator box and is held onto it by a short 15mm nut on the inboard side of the box (down in the air intake hole).
