THat's right, I didn't use lube, and I was amazed at how soon it tightened to the specified 40 ft lbs of torque. I don't smell gas however. But since I'm paranoid about the hose clamps and all, I'm going to pull it out again, and give everything a once over, and then lube up the O ring this time. Do most people do this job using the insert? or do they shell out the big bucks for the whole assembly? ($502 on e-europats vs $99 for the insert)
