Recommendations for Springs on my 1990 vert Posted by notnoel [Email] (#23) [Profile/Gallery] (more from notnoel) on Tue, 4 Aug 2009 14:12:44 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I seem to have sagging springs - have 175k on my vert and keep having my 16-inch tires (on aero rims) rubbing against my SPG flares when I hit a dip in the road. Both front and rear fenders rub on the dips. I have 2-year old Bilstein touring shocks. I've done the rear axle relocation mod, and that improved, but did eliminate, the problem.
Are the springs on a convertible different than on the 3-door or sedan? How about from the SPG ? I am not interested in lowering the car further, just eliminating the rubbing, and am not keen on raising the car via spacers to make the rubbing go away either. I don't want the solution to be any stiffer than needed to eliminate the rubbing.
I see Swedish Dynamics is now selling their Springs on FleaBay. Would these do what I need? Any body have any suggesttions?
