that with a blown valve the gas tank fumes will go into the intake manifold, then into either the brake booster, turbo vacuum gauge or any other plumbed item that is related to the cabin...
i might just seal the evap canister off from the engine (and the vent hose to the tank) and see if that helps.
any idea where i can get a replacement evap canister?
