...seized up in the hole in the bracket of the caliper! Plastic/nylon part in the hole won't budge. (How does a plastic part get so seized up in a metal hole?) It has been a long time since I did calipers on a C 900 but I sure don't remember this problem before. So, I can't get the cable out of the old caliper! Does anyone know why-outside of I just must be plain stupid? After owning 20 Saabs in my lifetime and currently own 5, this one has me hooked and stumped! I searched history and no one has seemed to have had any trouble with this. I've hammered on the nylon with a screwdriver, etc. and it just won't budge. My next plan is to drill it out but I have to do the other side and maybe there are some other ideas on how to get it out. Every post talks about just retracting the brake cable from the bracket like it is so easy. I hope this piece isn't really needed because I really, really don't want to run a whole new cable!
