The problem with using Scantech parts is that it is a flavor-of-the-day scenario where you never know from day one to day two what part you get and where it is manufactured to what standard.
Scantech search the world for the best deals and most times the cheapest deals because that's what the buyer want. So sometimes they might find a batch of genuine parts they sell for less, sometimes they find a manufacturer that can't build anything and you end up with faulty parts.
So as for the heater valve, they might have found a better source than a few years ago when all of them failed in short order but you never know. Since it is a really boring job to redo, it is better to stick with genuine but unfortunately, the genuine one might only be found at the dealer nowadays since most after market sources jump on the wagon to keep the cheapest parts in stock.
