I have seen the cream on my 88spg's dipstick before and became worried . After a few months it wasn't there anymore . A few months later it came back . After a while I realized it was only there during the colder months of the year - probably additional condensation caused by the engine's increased temperature drop down to much colder ambient temperatues during the winter after shut down . You did pour cold water into a hot engine . This would certainly cause some extra condensation beyond the norm . Also I don't know where you live , but I live in New England and the weather just turned cooler in a trend like way as in a seasonal change . I hope I'm right and your engine is alright . That click or clink noise you said you heard when you put the water in sounds sort of like noises I have heard before with very quickly cooling metal .
