All related connectors and associated couplings and wires have been ohm-ed and are OK. According the the Bentley manual info, the cp sensor is NOT putting out a high enough voltage although it has the proper voltage coming in. We need at least 3.5v according to the manual. That 3.5v pulse in turn triggers the ignition modules and so on.
We have on hand 2 NEW sensors that appear to be dead, and we have rebuilt the original that failed but its output pulse is below 3.5v.
If the cp sensor has 12v coming in, if it is good, it ought to put out the 3.5 volts. Surely, the 2 new ones can't both be bad.
Going to an older distributor is a thought if can't resolve this issue.
