damage, get stranded (probably in the middle of nowhere), and most likely give your car to some backwoods mech who tells you it is $2000 to fix. I, personally, don't like any of those options. A new HG costs around $150, and can be done by a relative amatuer (SP?) in 2 days, with instructions from this site. The rad did not cause the HG to fail, it's the other way around. It is possible you don't have a HG problem, yet. You may have a small hose leak, or a heater core problem. Why do you think you have a blown HG?
