I KNOW this seems strange reply for your issue, BUT, that darn little ground wire from oil filler cap bracket to drivers side innner fender wheel well, seems to effect many things. It once broke and my 89 900T sedan stopped dead, would not start, then when reconnected, car started and ran fine. Check corrosion at fender mount bolt, and then at engine ground point. Do fender end first then run car to see if problem happens again. If so then do engine ground next. Could be intermittent issue.
