but you might just try taking a piece of stiff paper or a business card and run around the edges of the valves and see if it slips under edges of any of them.
might work as a quick and dirty way to check if valve is not sealing. if it's not, you may be able to lap the valves if the seats are ok and the seal isn't "too" bad. may end up being more work than you want to do however.
just a couple of further ideas. i haven't worked on any C900 heads, so i'm just going from past experiences with other cars i've owned.
