or use the starter judiciously to get it moving from 1st gear or get a push - you don't need a clutch at all

synching your shifts with the rpms is a great advantage to our hard driven 5 speed saabs

its not that hard if you keep rpms low eg 2000 - like a knife through butter - every time you shift to a higher gear

just remember to sloooow down as you approach a stop light so you have forward motion - otherwise you can use the starter to re-engage and start up again(may risk damage to your starter if attempted too often)
