All high voltage connections and paths appear good. Spark plugs show a nice clean burn. Still runs, then stumbles, then hunts for iodle, then quits. Loosened the fuel pressure regulator and no fuel squirted out...just an air gurgle. I swapped the FPR with a known good one and still no change. I direct wired the fuel pump and could hear it run. Loosened the FPR and fuel squirted out. Start the motor and no change. Clamped off the return line of the FPR to try in increase the pressure, but that did not help either....just put a pinhole and the fuel leaks out.
The next step is to spray starting fluid into the intake to see if that keep the motor running. If it does, I will change out the whole fuel rail assembly with a known good one. If that does not do it, then I will replace the fuel pump assembly with a known good one. Is there something I am missing here? I hear there are some items at the passemger kick panel that can cause grief too.
