Its a faded memory now but I don't recall that "reinforcement bar" being an issue. Of course you need a rear seat with an armrest so I swapped in the back cushion from my broken down 84 900s.

The door is basically the entire size of the opening - so you can trace that out and cut with a saw. Tiny brass hinges on the bottom finished it off. With the faux leather insert reattached to the plywood side the door will stay fully inserted and flush - which is nice when it comes time to lay the rear seat flat. However the velcro helps keep it snug.

I still have parts from the 84 - the doors and various engine parts ended up on the 86 but there might be things you need that I have.
