For my SPG going with the whaletail didn't do a thing, totally for looks & I do prefer it especially since I have (ok, had) the entire airflow kit, My lap times before and after the whaletail were the same & I felt zero improvement in how the car was planted or held it's line through a turn. My car was setup so I could get a little understeer through the turns & before or after my whaletail zero difference.
Saab states the stock turbo spoiler's only reason (besides looks) is to keep dust off the back window. The whaletail might get a little wind but at least on my car definantly not enough to do anything.
I purchased the SAS replica which is a copy of the whaletail just costs less, doesn't have the rubber lip to deteriorate & is easy to find
If the car squats going into a turn something is wrong. 911;s will squat with it's rear engine setup coming out of a turn but a C900 shouldn't squat going it. If it is squatting you might need some new springs & shocks
