clutch failure follow-up sort of... (12/12/09 post).... Posted by baggsly [Email] (#2350) [Profile/Gallery] (more from baggsly) on Mon, 14 Dec 2009 21:27:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
well, oddly enough, pedal pressure returned the next day. i was able to drive the car home, although there was a bit of a rumbling/rubbing feel in clutch pedal when it was at rest as if it were still slightly engaged.
today (next day) pedal again goes to floor, and does build a little bit of pressure when pumped. fluid level definately down, so there is a leak somewhere, just not an obvious one. usual suspect i would guess would be slave cylinder.
i am taking car in to shop tomorrow to replace whole clutch assy top to bottom. not including the solid/flex hose, quoted between $900.00 and $1100.00 at the two indys in town.
so if you can do it yourself, it definately pays off. i don't have the time or space at the moment, so i'm going to have to pay through the nose. just some more info if anyone is searching the archives for costs lol.
mark :-)
