Save crap from the totaled car Posted by tibbidoh [Email] (#1014) [Profile/Gallery] (more from tibbidoh) on Tue, 15 Dec 2009 07:09:08 In Reply to: Re: 8valve turbo compared to 16valve turbo, Larry West [Profile/Gallery] , Tue, 15 Dec 2009 06:36:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Like Larry said, most of that suspension stuff will just transfer over, but also other crap like the inter cooler set up will take some mods, but doable & the water cooled turbo and associated coolant hoses are a couple of things to do that will yield more horses. The 16 valve engine is mostly theoretically (cross flow head) a better engine and somewhat technically (more valves, easier fuel/air/exhaust flow) so most of the other horsepower advantages were not done to the 8 valve engine and there are plenty of horses to be found in that engine.
