anyone in PA/NJ/DE have a reset tool for SRS light?
Posted by Sky P [Email] (more from Sky P) on Wed, 16 Dec 2009 13:25:47
I'm new to the Saab world with a 1990 900 SPG (223k miles and purring like a kitty). The SRS light stays on after startup; the PO said it was because the battery died--he had had the same problem once before and had the airbag checked out A-OK.
Anyway, I currently have a handy piece of black duct tape protecting my eyes from the unsightly glare of the SRS light. I'm on a tight budget and don't wish to spend any money to have the light reset. I understand from searching online that there is no way to manually reset the light (really? really really? I find it so hard to believe...) It appears there is a tool by Draper that will reset the light for me if I wish to buy it from the UK to the tune of $60.... I am wondering: does anyone in the NJ/PA/DE area have such a tool? The light isn't sufficiently bothersome to pay $60 but perhaps I could buy a friendly person a cup of coffee and have a nice chat about Saabs?
Thank you very much...
