The AMM was my thought too. I tried unplugging it and it immediately started to stumble severely at idle, and I did this after the car was warmed up and sitting at idle. I can't imagine it would be drivable disconnected. The fact that it acted much worse disconnected made me think that the AMM was still functioning. Should I try driving it disconnected anyways? I'm really hoping so, anyways.
The car did okay at highway speeds. It's on acceleration, or attempted acceleration, that it has some real issues. The turbo also hasn't been making full boost either, but I think it might be symptomatic rather than causal. I've noticed leading up to this that the car seemed underpowered and that the car wasn't making full boost. I just thought there was a hose off because the turbo was wimping out. Doesn't seem to be the case, though. Maybe the recent really cold weather (upstate NY)has had some effect, though that's part of what made me think NTC in the first place.
I feel like I've been up and down the hose connections, though it can't hurt to try again. I had some issues over the summer and fall with hose leaks, but they're all new silicon hose put on by a previous owner. Fuel filter replaced 2 weeks ago. Air filter cleaned about a month ago. I'm thinking electrical now too. The wire housing going to the AIC and the NTC both are damaged, but the actual wire connections look good. I can see them through the cracks ;). Maybe some electrical tape and some CRC connector cleaner will do. I haven't taken the plugs out, but I'll have a look at those too.
Thanks!
