...I just wrote an article in the current Nines magazine about my trouble
with bleeding the brakes on my summer resto project. I found that I had a leak in the lines that run along the driver's seat and the fluid was "pooling" in the back driver's side foot well. It holds a lot of fluid before it starts leaking out in a weird spot. Since you are going through a lot of Dot 4 but not seeing it leak anywhere, I bet you have the same thing I had going on!
If you take out the driver's seat (very easy, 4 T-30 I believe, Torx head
bolts) and lift up the carpeting, you'll see all the fluid.
That brake line runs all the way from the firewall to behind the back seat. If you find a leak in that brake line run, you can get a double flaring tool from a auto parts store and some brake line and splice the line where the leak is.
Good luck - hang in there - these cars are special and worth all the time it takes some times to fix 'em!
SAVE SAAB! With all the bids submitted today, hopefully Saab will live on!
