I searched the site and found some references to this problem, but none quite like mine.
Car: 1993 c900 t16 convertible, automatic
Problem: The PARK BRAKE and BRAKE FLUID lights stay lit on my Saab all the time. I'm sure this is indicative of something but I have no idea what. I'm sure they're tied to each other in this case because they did go off once immediately following a spirited left turn.
Observations:
The brakes work beautifully.
ABS light lights only for a few seconds when starting the car, and then not always.
The parking brake switch under the center console is good. The PARK BRAKE light gets a little brighter when I engage the brake lever. I have even tried unplugging the switch and jumping the connections together - no change.
The car leaks and I've found a lot of water and hydraulic fluid under the rear seats/floorboards/trunk.
Not losing brake fluid.
The complete hydraulic system for the top is devoid of fluid and the rams are removed... for um, weight reduction purposes, yeah that's it! Not because they were leaking fluid EVERYWHERE! Not sure if this is related, but hey - maybe Saab gave us a way to know we were low on hydraulic fluid for the top?
Also possible noteworthy, someone has hacked a few aspects of the electrical system at some point while installing an alarm. But mostly doors/lights.
If you're still reading my novel, thanks for your time!
