See my posts from last week sometime - Saabnutt gave me some decent advice and offered to send me tools - All 5 of mine are 88/89s with the clarion radio / eq DINs not the later cd unit as in my one '93 - The cars in question are 2 1990 white convertibles - one donor, one patient.
I pulled the radio from the donor last week with coathanger tools but the eq was stubborn. The radio works fine but max volume is not max at all, so pulled the eq today - The eq slid right into its slot and now no volume so I assume/know the harness at the back of the eq DIN is connected ... I'm going to double check the fuses behind the radio later / no lights on the eq at all ? I disconnected the battery to clear the radio thinking this might re-initialize the system, re-entered the code, etc.
Thanks for input.
