Take the battery to a shop or do it yourself- recharge the battery all the way. I've done this (long periods of non-use) on my '92 S convertible and it seems like it takes forever to charge the (larger than standard) battery. I can fire it up but the battery does not charge, and sitting around takes all the life out of it. Even running the engine and drivng around for hours will not completely recharge the battery.
My radio presets will clear themselves after a couple of weeks with the battery disconnected.
If you do it yourself, after charging the battery back up, load test it in the car with a voltmeter and the procedure outlined in the Bentley book.
