I've got DVH-P580 with optical output that runs to ext DEQ (it'd turn to be DEQ-P8000 if I was in US) that drives couple of 4ch ext amps and one bridged 2ch for sub. Not the high-end ODR system when looking at the price tag (though not cheap either), but very much hifi when it comes to performance and output measured.
I'm sorry I'm not that Clarion guy to keep they ball rolling when they start talking about this brand.
