VT,
First be real sure it's coolant. If the fuel return hose springs a leak that's generally where it will drip down. If it is coolant at that location then it probably is the pump, just be sure that the leaking coolant isn't originating higher up from a hose. Water pumps only have two failure modes; leaking and making noise. They are actually expected to leak a very, very small amount. Small enough that you probably wouldn't notice it. Good luck
