What car are we talking about, coupe, vert? S, turbo?
The line that runs up under the wipers goes to the vacuum canister. It's in the passenger fender in later c900s, and in the trunk in the verts. There is also a vac line that goes through the firewall to the boost pressure solenoid (if equipped) and the boost gauge on turbo cars. Anything under the dash you can get to by removing the knee bolster.
