Zaab - The A pillar is a resonator - a hollow tube that runs right down to the floor pan and out; the B pillars connect to the two rails so they will act like resonators too
not sure if you have ever seen that cool cross section diagram of the air flow passing through a Saab - it was designed with these cavities to improve the prospects for moisture to dry out as the car moved forward - but noise was not really a consideration I guess and it couldn't deal with mud ad moisture getting stuck high in the wheel wells
also if you want the biggest bang for the back - you will need to do something about the firewall - which was sort of an afterthought for saab in terms of insulation- since the chain and transmission gears are a few inches from the wall that's where you get the greatest noise transference (IMHO)
I see you used what appears to be spray on cladding of some sort - you might consider getting some of that on both sides of the firewall - ultimately you will need mass to absorb sound vibration though
