position on the shaft. without it, you'd risk having the rotor sitting still or not spinning at same speed as the shaft, consequently throwing any chance of car running out the window!
are you asking because your rotor isn't fitting as it should? or when you think the rotor should be at number 1 it's pointing elsewhere? or just a random curiousity question?
