fixed the same problem Posted by Karl [Email] (#161) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Karl) on Tue, 15 Jun 2010 06:39:09 In Reply to: Door Switches At Fault?, Andrew_S, Mon, 14 Jun 2010 13:57:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I recently attacked the same situation on my sons 3 door. I grounded the door switches and found issues. Swapped the door switches and rubber boots (original boots were torn) from a parts car. I then opened the console switch and found that it was severely corroded. Took the console switch from the parts car and cleaned the contacts. I was informed by the board to use C.L.R. to clean the contacts. Anyway, I now have working lights but I believe the door alarm will not sound when the passenger door is opened.
