I think it's just his car...
I've not had problems with the two 9-5s I've owned. Door closures are certainly better than my C900 CV ever was.
Tight? That's not usually a word associated with C900 convertibles! They're flexible flyers all the way. I've driven & ridden in them from 86 through 92, and they're all pretty loose...
As for noise, tires make a HUGE difference. I recently pulled old, used-up Michelins off the last 9-5, and put on Bridgestones, and the Bridgestones were practically silent.
When was his 2010 built? I wonder if it was built before the Spyker deal (probably was...), and if maybe the trolls were off their game when they finished it.
Believe me, construction & assembly only improved over the years (if only from cutting down on the number of individual screws needed to put the car together!). But there are always variables, and comparing one particular car to another isn't necessarily indicative of a trend...
