temp gauge should stay in the middle area after the engine is completely warm. unless you are idling for extended periods of time or are developing a cooling system leak.
pressure check! thats not a bad idea.
but a cooling system pressure check will rarely help find a head gasket "pin hole" leak.
A cylinder leak down test will show a lot more (and prob tell you more about your engine than you wanted to know
its amazing how cold my engine runs with all the A/C equipment removed. but if she idles too long the quage climbs!
