My 89 Turbo is having a rough idle/ stalling issue, and hesitation if I suddenly goose it. I cleaned up the AIC, and will test it on the meter tomorrow. Strange thing is, the car idles about as well with the AIC disconnected from the harness.
There doesn't seem to be any vacuum at the oil filler when I pull the dip stick and I am having trouble tracking down a vacuum leak. I did notice some idle speed change when I pinched the vac line running from the PCV nipple to the throttle body, so I got a new grommet from the local dealer and switched the 4mm line out.Have also been switching out all the vac lines I can get to, but nothing yet. I have some new grommets, etc on order,(for the throttle body) body but I can't find a part number or size for the larger hose (PCV?)that comes out of the valve cover nipple. It looks pretty beat up, and doesn't want to stay on the nipple, after drying both parts off (new nipple is coming from eeuro).
Have been searching the boards for hours, as well as the usual sources...any ideas? My local dealer is not much help, and the one grommet was about all they had that I might need (so far).
