Cat, remove the negative battery terminal. Put a volt ohm meter (VOM) between the negative cable and the battery terminal. Do not put the key in the ignition or try to start the car. See this post:

If you are under 50ma of draw after everything has settled, you're good. Mine measure less than 20. I believe that it's normal for a car battery to lose at least 1% of its capacity per day just sitting. Few cars can sit for a month without draining the battery, especially if clock and alarm are involved.
Car batteries don't like to sit discharged so it's likely that your battery went bad. Interstate brand batteries are a waste of money. Interstate does not even make its own batteries. You can get a good Johnson Controls manufactured battery under many other names and for a lot less money.
