not sure I understand the question
when I wired my 86 with power windows from an 84 the connections were already there in the 86 for power windows and door locks but oddly not power mirrors
the 84 had the disintegrating wiring but the 86 does not - that leads me to conclude it was a production series problem or a location issue not typically a year issue
at an rate why not just rewire the whole thing with decent 12 gauge starting from inside the door panel
