92 900 Turbo, 179K. HG replaced ~110K 6yrs ago.
I've got huge pressure building in the coolant, Foamy froth when pressure is releived, constant blubbing from the radiator to reservoir when running, but also fine fine bubbles coming from the water pump direction. Engine is running normal temps, mostly, but fan is running constantly.
Doesn't smell overly fuel-ish. My nose is shot though.
Looking at cyl #3, the spark (NGK) core is almost rusty looking.
Stalls out when stopping (clutch in) with very quick drop from ~2-3K RPMs to then hit a stumbling 500rpm region, and cuts out totally...but not all the time. also is missing under acceleration, but again, sometimes. this may be just time for cap and rotor, but also may be related to possible HG.
THinking that its HG with coolant being pressurized by cylinder 3 while running, but rusting it while sitting, hence spark plug rusty...i.e. crack from coolant to cyl 3.
Anyone have a good write up for HG repalcement? Anyone thinking of something else?
