Given the SPG panels on convertibles (SE or also known as "Spring Time in Sweden" models) are nearly non-existent you will need to modify the SPG bumper extensions to fit. Unless you like your convertible to look silly, the rear quarter SPG panels from a 3-door will not fit properly. Technically the 900 convertibles and 4-doors are wider or narrower in the rear...nevertheless not the same as a 3-door. Therefore the 3-door rear SPG bumper extensions are thicker and won't fit properly. SPG panels mount exactly the same as non-SPG panels. Real SPG panels are mainly taller (north / south) and flat in the rear (no ripples) than non-SPG.
I'm weekend warrior type and made my own SE panels from standard SPG panels. I simply studied the ____ out of the dimensions and used patience and a Dremel to cut down the panels to match the existing dimensions of the non-SPG panel on my 90 convertible. You have to trim down the top of the panel as well as the back three rubber/plastic connecting points which secure the metal clips and mounting rails. Once you cut down the rubber/plastic connecting points, sand/grind down the tops to match the non-SPG panel height(s) as well as attach an extremely hard flat plastic (Home Depot) on top w/Gorilla Glue. With three little holes drilled in the plastic, now you will be able to secure the metal clips and mounting rails. Paint with SEM "Bumper Coater" 39273 Charcoal Metalic and you will be a proud owner of a highly desirable SE or Springtime in Sweden 900 clone.
Another non-Dremel option is put all the SPG panels on the convertible except the front/rear bumper extensions. It’s a much better look than the stock convertible.
