A friend with a '91 beryl green SPG (MG) needed a new gas tank because his was leaking or had a crack. We went to the local junkyard where there were lots of c900s. We started to pull a gas tank when I noticed it had a hole in it. Looked like someone had taken a screw driver and punched a hole in it. So on to the next 900, same thing! Every c900 had a screw driver hole in the gas tank. These guys are too lazy to drain the gas so they punch a hole in the tanks and let the gas drain out! I looked at the price list for a gas tank and it was $30 with the note that "it might be damaged"! What a waste of perfectly good useable parts. He ended up ordering a used one from Rancho Cordova for some ridiculous price. We thought about the plastic weld, but didn't take the chance.
