My first thought, too, but not sure why you would need a PS pod-- it's conceivable, I guess, but stock visibility in C900s for parking and other reverse-gear purposes seems sufficient for most drivers/owners and doesn't merit installation of even one-- let alone two-- rear-side viewers.
The picture is fairly crappy, but I think we can assume that because the indents on the steering wheel are in the foreground, that the pic was taken from the DS of the car. The pod may or may not be intended for the service of the driver; given that Sieg has posted that a matching pod is in place at the PS, I'm guessing Not. It can'y be anything like heat or AC supply unless there has been some MAJOR plumbing to support.
Having owned many Saabs since my first, the Silver Saab that was acquired in ~2000 and knowing that my kids-- for reasons that escape me altogether-- would rather be caught dead than alive in the car... I guess that the 'pods' in the photo are the equivalent of the flip-down or seatback video players common to most SUVs or high-end cars.
What do I win?
