sell car with blown engine to convert to manual?

I have a 1993 900 Turbo Conv. that I "babied" early on and that is in excellent condition for its age. The engine blew at 76,000 miles and I replaced it with a 2007 TC. My first Saab (1986 900 TC) was a manual and way more fun to drive, and I know most Saab lovers prefer the manual to an auto tx. While I've not had a bit of trouble with the transmission in this car, I'd like some opinions on whether it would be more attractive to sell the car "as is" so that a buyer who may want to convert the transmission gets it for cheaper, or wether it'd be better to incur the expense and replace the engine before selling it. TIA for any thoughts.
