The 360 degree thrust kit is a 2 piece thrust collar set that has more surface area with a full annular thrust bearing. The bearing itself is drilled so it has twice the oil volume of a standard thrust set up. You don't need to go with this thrust kit unless you're upgrading to a large compressor wheel and intend to run high boost levels. Besides marking the compressor wheel and turbine shaft thread end to reassemble them in the same orientation so you don't through the factory balance off check and see if the manufacturer removed any material from the nut that holds the compressor wheel on? If they did it's real important to mark the nut as well. Production built turbos are final balanced on a vibration sort rig and most of the time they'll take a little off of the nut when they "trim" balance the compressor end of the rotor group. The biggest single mistake made on do it yourself turbo work is to loosen the compressor wheel with an end wrench or socket wrench. You have to use a T handle so you can loosen the nut with equal pressure or you'll bend the quill (smaller portion of the turbine wheel shaft). Other big mistake is letting the turbine housing contact the turbine wheel when you separate the turbine housing from the bearing section. To prevent this just spin one of the wheels as you remove either end housing to make sure nothing is binding! Just take your time and this will be a great learning experience for you.
