I'm having a heat problem in my 91 convertible...When I first purchased the car a few years ago the heat could just about force someone out of the car it was so hot if turned up more than half way on the adjustment knob. Since then I've had the heater valve replaced (several times) and I'm just not getting anywhere near the same level of heat. I recently also replaced the water pump and flushed/filled the system with G-05 coolant. The thermostat is only one or two years old, 89 degrees Original Saab. The car seems to be coming up to temp fine and the needle stays at about half way up the gauge. There is no bypass valve or any of that junk on the car. Heater hoses are connected water pump to heater valve bottom, metal pipe hose to heater valve top. Currently, while driving it can produce some heat but if I stop at a light or something it just starts blowing out cold air until I drive around for a bit then it will start to warm up again. Hopefully someone has an ideal that will help me out, it's going to be -7 degrees today and I'd prefer to have a warm car to drive in.
