Ahh, very nice, Turboconn.

I am almost half way taking the head off. It seems the automatics are more a pain in the butt to remove the exhaust manifold complete with the Turbo.

First, I disconnected the turbo from the support bracket, and it was a no go, so I disconnected the support bracket altogether, and still it is a struggle!

It is that last stud near the motor mount. I will have to place a jack beneath the tranny and raise it a bit, and remove the motor mount bits. I expect it should come off easily.

I removed a head off of a manual last month, and I did not need to do this.

The only thing I can think of is that the turbo oil return line is caught on the automatic transmission. Do you normally remove the manifold/turbo as a unit, leaving in the oil return line?
