It was bound to happen. I dispatched my c900 parts cars to heaven. I saved all I could, but it was time. Three in all. A 91 base 900 hatch, 89 900S hatch and an 85 900S notchback. Each was well beyond any hope of repair. The worst part was the fork loader just reaching through the drivers window and lifting it away like a newborn puppy snagged from a box, or the toy marching doll trying to get away from the animated infant in the Pixar movie short.
In moments they were clutched away and moved to a platform. Their fuel tanks were punched and drained along with all of the lifeblood engine fluids. The wheels were torn away and then it was crushed and stacked among a similarly bludgeoned BMW on top of a white Oldsmobile.
If they could have been saved, they would have. .... Yet I am so sad and torn up over it all.
We can't save them all I know, but it it terribly frustrating to just destroy something so beautiful as a c900 even though it succumbed to cancer long before we met. From 50' away, each looked almost new.
