Hatchback and sedan/vert bumpers from '87 onward are different as well. The hatchback bumper has an extra little extension just beneath the tail light on the rear quarter. If you use a sedan/vert bumper on a hatchback, there will be an 3/4" by 3" opening just beneath the side of the taillight and you'll be able to see the ground through it.
