Stumbling on acceleration revisited- highway speeds Posted by DougM [Email] (#211) [Profile/Gallery] (more from DougM) on Fri, 6 May 2011 13:53:55 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It happened maybe a month ago when I posted the 88 900T spitted and sputtered when I tried to get out of the way of a car entering the highway. I seem to recall that incident the fuel level in the tank was low - maybe less than 4 gallons.
It happened again this morning, and I know the fuel level was 3 gallons or less. If I had to guess, I'd say it was definitely fuel related, as I gassed up after work(14 gallons) and the car ran fine again. It even ran like crap at slow speeds and acceleration from a stop before I filled up.
Fuel pump? But why does it run normal with more that 5 gallons?
