I replaced the passenger side engine mount to resolve a popping out of gear problem in 1st and 2nd at slow speeds. It was a fairly straight forward repair that took about an hour. The old mount was torn about half way through and completely shot. Unfortunately, it's still popping out of the same gears with the new one in place.
Can someone tell me, when I pry up on the front transmission mount, I get about half an inch or more of travel. Is that too much? I don't see where its torn like the one I just replaced but it seems like the play is excessive, especially when I compare it to the rigid new one I just installed. Thanks for your input and help.
