Just got a '90 spg and have a couple questions.

1. The speedometer seems to be about 10 mph off true speed. The front tires are 185/65/15 and the rears are 195/60/15. The engine seems to rev higher than other 900's in my experience (usually mine run about 3000 rpm at about 75 mph; this one hits 3000 before the speedometer says 75). Would this be a speedometer cable issue perhaps?

2. I saw some unusual stuff in the engine bay. I figured out the car was originally from California so it has all the EGR stuff. What is the point of it? I've read that it can be removed with some work, but if the car is running fine there shouldn't be a need to? Does the EGR system ever fail in such a way as to make the car not run?

3. A prior owner redid the headliner, but left the cover off the sunroof. The metal is exposed on the inside, and there's a lot of wind noise, although it doesn't seem to leak. The roof also doesn't sit high enough to line up with the car roof. I checked and the white plastic/nylon ramps are present. The sunroof motor also made a grinding sound and wouldn't really close the sunroof when I was checking that.

4. anyone have any recommendations for a stereo? I planned to keep the old one in there, but the tape deck doesn't work, and it would be nice to have an easy ipod hookup or bluetooth for talking on the phone. The prior owner did install 6 x 9 speakers in the back, looks like they zip tied them to where the speaker mounts go!

Thanks as always for the help.
